The vineyard was founded in 2009 in the unique habitat of the sunny slopes of Paścia Góra in Chełmiec, near Nowy Sącz. It was founded by Ryszard Fryc, a wine lover who used his knowledge, experience, and intuition to cultivate the old family tradition which dates back to the late 18th century.
His ancestor, Antoni Fritz came from the Austrian Tyrol and settled in this region during the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Ryszard Fryc, with great commitment and devotion, undertook the task of cultivating wine-making traditions. The name of FRITZ winery was inspired by the story.
